Updates in the Fine Arts Gallery, the update contains work from the Johns Hopkins’ show, London inspired work and new works on paper.
Selected prints will be available to order soon, more details to follow.
For Comic lovers, my digital palette is available for download "Color Palette". I feel this is a great way to share something that is incredibly useful to me in my work and I hope that it’s able to help someone else with theirs.
November was a pretty exciting month as I had the opportunity to travel to Chicago and Atlanta for work. While I was not able to enjoy the cities as much as I would have liked, I was able to spend a fair amount of the time exploring them both and I even made time to take in a few art museums and the museums were fantastic; the collections were full of many surprises, from the Basquait, Beckmann and Rockwell in Atlanta to the Hopper, de Kooning and Pollock in Chicago. All in all; two great opportunities, tons of photos and I filled pages of a sketchbook.
On the studio front, my newest works on paper are full of interesting exploration and experimentation. Despite the methodical techniques used to create them, I feel this is the freest I’ve been with my paintings. As I said last month I feel my artistic voice is becoming much clearer and much more powerful, and the proof is in the work, which is almost here. I have a few pieces drying up, and once they are dry I will be able to scan them and get them ready to be posted on my website. Look for a big update in the fine arts section in December.
Lastly I want to let everyone know I updated my links section with the Atlanta’s High Museum of Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, Graham Crackers Comics of Chicago and lastly the link to the blog of Rober Gervais, a fantastic writer who is working with Josiah Grahn (of Agent Captain) and myself on a new top secret comic project.
Once again if you have any questions about prices, availability of paintings, comics or feed back feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will respond to you as soon as possible.
My website has gone through a fairly major re-design. The new design may not be noticeable by everyone, but know that the re-design is for the benefit of you, the viewer. Enjoy.
As the John’s Hopkins show came to a close I want to give a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who helped with organizing the show. I got a lot of positive feedback, and it was a great opportunity to get my work out there for people to see, and isn’t that what it’s all about. I was even able to sell a few of the pieces from the show.
Check out the updated Travels section.
After my trip to London I’ve been inspired to focus on creating works on paper and linen. The work so far is amazing, extremely liberating and more focused allowing me the opportunity to visually explore new ideas with composition subject matter and even glazing techniques. I feel my ‘artistic voice’ is becoming clearer and much more powerful. Don’t worry, I am not done with work on canvas but as an artist you have to go where the inspiration, feelings and journey take you.
While I’m working don’t hesitate to send me an email and I will do my best to respond to you as soon as possible. If it takes me a while don’t worry, just means I’m busy and I’ll get back to you when I have a moment.

A productive month as I explore some new painting and illustration techniques, I’m happy with the results; 2 painted covers for Agent Captain. Looks like I will continue to use these techniques on covers for most of my comic projects from here on out.
I recently invested in an art projector, and now literally, I’m seeing the light. I’m no longer struggling with transferring images from the sketchbook to the canvas. It was so painful to have a sketch so “perfect” and “full of life” only to redraw it and end up with something “lifeless.” Now I’m able to transfer sketches to canvas with ease and I’m exploring some very interesting concepts about composition and cropping. Look for new paintings in the next couple months!

I recently purchased a 24inch IMac. It was a difficult decision for many different reasons but I felt that at this point in my artistic career it was needed. I am not advocating that everyone go out and purchase an IMac, in order to create art. I worked and created art for years with out one, but I realize that to further my career and artistic exploration that this was the next logical step. Also the larger monitor makes coloring on the computer so much easier.
Finished Issue 1 of Agent Captain! Making minor corrections and sending it off to be lettered. Now that issue 1 is in the can, I am gearing up for issue 2, and from what I have read so far of Josiah Grahn’ script, this is even more exciting then issue 1! Look for more Agent Captain here in the up coming weeks and months, and don’t forget to friend Agent Captain at his MySpace page!
Check out the new Logo’s Section! Included here are some of the logos I have created for the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health, Youth MOVE National and some of personal projects. I will be available for work for hire on any logo designs you or your company need and can work with a variety of adobe based programs. So if you are interested drop me an email and we can talk over your needs.

The Johns Hopkins 20th Anniversary event was better then could be expected. A great opportunity to display some art, network and show my support of Johns Hopkins. I look forward to working with them on any other art projects that may come up in the future. So once again a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone at Johns Hopkins for this wonderful artistic opportunity!

I've been working on some commercial art for the Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus 20th Anniversary Event being held during the month of May. The project is a little different, (more of an installation piece) but I feel over all the work is really shaping up.

I'd like to thank everyone for their continual support of me and my work. This is a different type of update, and something long over due. I know that it goes without saying that I would not be here if not the support from my family, friends, and patrons but I feel I don't thank them enough. So to all those who have supported me over the years I say, “Thank You.”
